Growing up in Germany, I always had a fascination with the grittier side of romance. You know those fairy tales where the princess gets rescued by the charming prince? Yeah, in my stories, the "prince" is more likely to be the one who kidnapped her in the first place. And he's definitely not charming – he's dangerous, possessive, and absolutely irresistible.

My journey into writing started like many authors – scribbling stories in notebooks and dreaming up complex characters when I should've been paying attention in class. But it wasn't until I discovered dark romance that something clicked. Here was a genre where I could explore the shadowy corners of desire, where consent gets murky, and where the line between captor and protector blurs into something deliciously complicated.

My debut novel "Du gehörst dem Mafia-Boss" (You Belong to the Mafia Boss) kicks off my "Entführt" (Kidnapped) series, and it's exactly what it says on the tin. No pulled punches, no watered-down alpha males, just raw, intense passion between a powerful mafia boss and the woman he claims as his own. Poor Emma never saw it coming, but then again, the best heroines never do.

I write the kind of stories that keep you up until 3 AM, kindle clutched to your chest, torn between wanting to throw it across the room and needing to know what happens next. (Don't actually throw your kindle though – those things are expensive!)

When I'm not writing steamy scenes that would make my grandmother faint, you can find me curled up with my own collection of dark romance books, probably drinking way too much coffee and plotting my next morally grey hero. My husband has learned to recognize my "plotting face" and knows to keep the coffee coming when I'm in the writing zone.

Fair warning: my books aren't for everyone. If you're looking for sweet, gentle romance where everyone behaves themselves and follows the rules... well, you're definitely in the wrong place. My heroes are possessive, dominant, and sometimes downright cruel. They're the kind of men who take what they want and make no apologies for it. (And between us, that's exactly how we like them, isn't it?)

I believe the best dark romance walks that razor's edge between fear and desire, between wanting to run away and wanting to run straight into the danger. That's where the magic happens – in those moments where your heart is racing and you're not sure if it's from fear or anticipation.

What can you expect from my books? Heat. Intensity. Complex characters who'll frustrate you to no end but make you fall in love anyway. Situations that'll make you question your own moral compass. And always, always a passionate love story at the core – even if it takes some kidnapping, manipulation, and dangerous games to get there.
