Hey there! I'm Saffron A. Kent, and I write dark romance that'll make you question your moral compass while desperately turning pages at 2 AM. (Don't worry, I won't judge – I'm usually up writing at that hour anyway!)

I wasn't always planning to write stories about dangerous cowboys and forbidden pen pals. Growing up in a small town where everyone knew everyone's business, I spent most of my time daydreaming about wild adventures and even wilder men. My notebooks were filled with stories I'd never dare show my English teachers. Let's just say they weren't exactly appropriate for class discussion!

My journey into writing started with fan fiction (oh come on, we've all been there!) before I finally worked up the courage to create my own characters. There's something intoxicating about building worlds where the rules don't apply, where the bad guys might just be the heroes in disguise, and where love blooms in the most unexpected – and sometimes dangerous – places.

If you've picked up my debut novel "Branded," you already know I don't play it safe. I mean, who looks at a prison pen pal program and thinks "You know what this needs? A fake identity and a vengeful cowboy!" (Me. I do. And I regret nothing.) It's the kind of story that had my beta readers texting me at midnight saying "WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?!" Those are my favorite messages to receive, by the way.

My characters aren't your typical romance novel leads. They're complicated, sometimes morally grey (okay, sometimes straight-up dark), and they don't always make the best decisions. But that's what makes them real, right? We all have those moments where we choose the wrong thing for what feels like the right reason.

When I'm not writing scenes that make my mother question my psychological well-being, I'm probably out hiking with my rescue dog (who's actually more of a couch potato than an outdoor enthusiast), drinking way too much coffee (is there such a thing?), or researching things that definitely have me on some kind of watchlist. Seriously, my search history would make a federal agent blush.

I believe romance doesn't always have to be hearts and flowers. Sometimes it's handcuffs and hard choices. Sometimes it's letters written in secret and identities hidden in shadows. And sometimes – my favorite times – it's finding love in the darkest places with the most dangerous people.

What can you expect from my books? Raw emotion. Questionable choices. Chemistry that'll steam up your reading glasses. Stories that'll keep you guessing until the very last page. And yes, there will always be a happily ever after... even if we have to walk through hell to get there.

I write for readers who like their romance with a side of danger, their cowboys with a dark past, and their love stories complicated enough to make their book clubs gasp. If you're looking for something safe and predictable, I'm probably not your girl. But if you want stories that'll push boundaries, challenge expectations, and maybe make you sleep with the lights on... well, pull up a chair. We're going to have fun together.

Currently, I'm working on my next novel (which may or may not involve a charming serial killer – no spoilers!), and I can't wait to share more dark and twisty tales with you all.
