Hi there! *waves awkwardly while trying not to spill my ever-present coffee* I'm Sarah P. Holmes, and I write emotional, raw romance that digs into the messy parts of healing and learning to love again. (Yes, there's steam. No, I won't apologize for it.)

Writing romance wasn't exactly in my five-year plan. I spent years working as a trauma counselor, listening to stories of heartbreak and resilience that left permanent marks on my soul. Those experiences shaped not just who I am, but the stories I felt compelled to tell. After one particularly intense therapy session in 2022, I went home and wrote twenty pages in a single sitting. Those pages eventually became "A Love Unwritten," though trust me, it went through about eighteen revisions before it turned into anything readable!

Here's the thing about my books - they're not your typical meet-cute romances (though I absolutely devour those as a reader). I write about people who are beautifully broken, who think they're too damaged for love, who've built walls so high they can't even see over them anymore. My characters don't just fall in love; they fight for it, sometimes against their own demons. And yes, sometimes those demons win a battle or two along the way.

When I'm not writing or mainlining caffeine, you'll find me hiking the trails near my home in Colorado with my rescue dog, Luna (who absolutely thinks she's the star of every story I write), or attempting to keep my houseplants alive. Spoiler alert: I'm much better at writing than gardening.

I believe in the power of honest storytelling - the kind that makes you uncomfortable sometimes but leaves you feeling seen. My books will always have: - Characters who are perfectly imperfect - Mental health representation that's real and respectful - Steamy scenes that serve the emotional journey - Hope. Always hope. (But you might have to work for it) - At least one scene that'll make you ugly cry (sorry not sorry)

Currently, I'm working on my second novel, which follows a character you might remember from "A Love Unwritten" (hint: she owns a bookstore and has a secret that's about to blow up in her face). I can't wait to share more about that soon!
