Hey there! I'm Sarah Seam, and I write the kind of dark romance that makes most people raise their eyebrows and clutch their pearls. You know, the stories that live in those shadowy corners where polite society doesn't venture? Yeah, those are my playground.

I've always been drawn to the grittier side of storytelling. Growing up in Germany (where I still live and write), I devoured books that pushed boundaries and made me question everything I thought I knew about love, morality, and human nature. While other kids were reading fairy tales with happy endings, I was already wondering what happened to the characters after "happily ever after" – especially when those characters weren't exactly prince charming material.

My journey into writing dark romance (specifically dark MM romance) wasn't exactly planned. I spent years working various jobs, always feeling like something was missing. Then one day, this character named Daniel wouldn't leave me alone. He was broken, complicated, and living on society's edges as a sex worker. His story demanded to be told, and that's how "Engelsgüte in der Hölle" was born. (And yes, I know that title's a mouthful in English – "Angel's Grace in Hell" – but trust me, it fits the story perfectly.)

Here's the thing about my writing: I don't sugarcoat. My characters aren't perfect, and their love stories aren't pretty. They're raw, sometimes brutal, and always honest. I write about the kind of men society tends to overlook or judge – sex workers, criminals, damaged souls who've done questionable things to survive. But I believe everyone deserves a love story, even (or especially) those who think they're beyond redemption.

(Fair warning: If you're looking for sweet, fluffy romance where everyone behaves and nothing bad ever happens, you might want to look elsewhere. I write stories that some might find challenging. There's darkness, trauma, and complicated relationships. But there's also hope, redemption, and yes, love – just not the kind you'll find in a Hallmark movie.)

When I'm not writing, I'm probably binge-watching true crime documentaries (research, I swear!), spoiling my cat rotten (she's my harshest critic), or exploring the urban underbelly of German cities for inspiration. I believe the best stories come from places and perspectives that make us uncomfortable, because that's where growth happens.

My writing process is... chaotic, to put it mildly. I'm that author who gets up at 3 AM because a character won't shut up, or spends six hours researching the most random details about Berlin's underground scene for a single paragraph. Authenticity matters to me, even (especially) in fiction.

I'm just getting started, and I've got so many more stories to tell. Dark ones. Challenging ones. Stories about men finding love in the most unlikely places, about redemption that has to be earned, about grace that shows up in hell.
