Hey there, dark romance lovers! I'm Sofia Aves, and I write the kind of steamy, tension-filled stories that'll keep you up way past your bedtime (sorry not sorry about those under-eye circles).

Let me tell you, my journey into writing romance wasn't exactly a straight path. I spent years devouring every romance novel I could get my hands on, filling countless journals with story ideas, and dreaming up characters who refused to leave me alone. You know the type – the ones who show up in your head at 3 AM demanding their story be told RIGHT NOW. Eventually, I gave in to their persistent voices and started writing the kinds of books I always wanted to read.

My debut novel "Make Me, Break Me" introduces you to Zinzi Jones and Dex, two characters who practically wrote themselves (though they fought me every step of the way, the stubborn things). It's a college romance that explores that delicious space between hate and love, where attraction burns so hot it scorches everything in its path. And let's be real – who doesn't love a good enemies-with-benefits situation that gets wonderfully complicated?

I'm drawn to writing characters who are beautifully flawed, sometimes morally grey, and always intensely passionate. My stories tend to walk that razor's edge between dark and light, exploring the messy, complicated parts of relationships that make them real. And spicy? Oh honey, you better believe it. I write the kind of scenes that'll make you fan yourself and check over your shoulder to make sure no one's reading over it (though if they are, maybe they'll learn something 😉).

When I'm not writing steamy scenes or torturing my characters (it's done with love, I promise), you can find me curled up with my rescue cat, Midnight, probably plotting my next book while consuming concerning amounts of coffee. I'm a firm believer that the best stories come from those quiet moments when you're supposed to be doing something else entirely – like sleeping, or you know, actual adulting.

Fair warning: my books aren't for the faint of heart. I write about real issues, complex emotions, and the kind of love that sometimes hurts before it heals. There's usually plenty of steam, some moments that'll make you gasp, and endings that I promise will be worth the journey – even if I make you work for them a little bit.
