Hey there! I'm Sophia Knightly, and I write steamy contemporary romance that'll make you believe in second chances (and probably fan yourself a little too). After years of working in the corporate world while secretly scribbling love stories during lunch breaks, I finally decided life was too short not to chase my dreams. Best decision ever? Absolutely.

You know those moments when fate throws two people together at exactly the right time, even if they think it's the wrong time? That's my sweet spot. I love writing about those magical "what are the chances?" encounters that change everything. (And yes, I may or may not have had a few meet-cutes of my own that inspired some scenes... but I'll never tell which ones!)

My debut novel "Kissed by You" holds a special place in my heart. When I wrote about Dr. Alex Cortes and his unexpected Christmas Eve visitor, I poured all my beliefs about timing, destiny, and the healing power of love into those pages. There's something incredibly special about a grumpy doctor who's sworn off holiday cheer finding himself playing reluctant hero to a woman who turns his perfectly ordered world upside down. I mean, who doesn't love a good "stranded together" story during the holidays?

I write the kind of romance I love to read - stories where the chemistry sizzles but the emotional connection runs deep. My characters aren't perfect (who is?), but they're real. They mess up, they have baggage, and sometimes they say exactly the wrong thing at exactly the wrong time. But that's what makes their journey to love so satisfying, right?

When I'm not writing, you'll probably find me walking on the beach near my Florida home (total water sign here!), trying out new recipes in my kitchen (with varying degrees of success), or curled up with my rescue cat and a good book. I'm a firm believer that chocolate should be its own food group, and I've never met a sunset I didn't want to photograph.

My writing process is... let's call it creatively chaotic. I plot just enough to know where I'm going, but I let my characters take the wheel sometimes. They usually know better than I do anyway! I write best early in the morning with a giant cup of coffee, or late at night when the rest of the world is quiet. Sometimes my best ideas come while I'm doing the most mundane things - driving, showering, or trying to fall asleep. (My phone's notes app is full of 3 AM plot twists.)

To my readers: thank you for joining me on this journey. Your messages about staying up way too late to finish "just one more chapter" make my day every single time. I love hearing your theories about future stories and which characters you want to see get their own happily-ever-afters. (Don't worry - I'm working on it!)

What can you expect from my books? Because while the path to true love might not be easy, it's always worth the journey.
