Hey there! I'm Sophie Deller, and I write dark paranormal romance that'll make you question your taste in men (or wolves). Fair warning: my stories aren't for the faint of heart, but if you like your romance with a side of danger and characters who blur every moral line imaginable, we're going to get along just fine.

I never set out to write romance, actually. Growing up in a small town where everyone knew everyone's business (and trust me, there was plenty of it), I escaped into books. The darker, the better. While other kids were reading sweet YA novels, I was sneaking my mom's Anne Rice books and dreaming up stories about creatures that definitely wouldn't get approved for the school library. (Sorry, Mrs. Thompson, but those creative writing assignments were definitely watered down for your sake!)

My journey into writing started with fan fiction (don't judge – we've all been there), but I quickly realized I wanted to create my own worlds where I could make the rules. Or better yet, break them. After years of starting and abandoning manuscripts that never felt quite right, I finally found my voice writing about the kinds of characters that would make my grandmother clutch her pearls.

In 2024, I released my debut novel "Ronyn," and holy crap, what a ride that's been! It's the story of Martina, a woman who thought she'd left her pack life behind, only to find herself pulled back into a world of dangerous shifters, complicated loyalties, and the kind of attraction that makes you forget every reason you should run the other way. (Spoiler alert: she doesn't run. Would you, if you had a sexy, morally gray wolf shifter looking at you like that?)

My writing style? Think midnight conversations with your best friend after too much wine, but make it spicy and add fangs. I love exploring the gray areas between right and wrong, good and evil, and all those delicious moral dilemmas that keep you up at night wondering if you should really be rooting for the "villain." (Spoiler: you definitely should.)

When I'm not writing about dangerous shifters and the women who love them, I'm probably curled up with my own pack – two rescue dogs who think they're wolves and a cat who definitely runs the household. I survive on an unhealthy amount of coffee (seriously, my blood type is probably espresso at this point), and I have a terrible habit of starting new book series at 2 AM when I should be sleeping.

What can you expect from my books? Raw emotions, complex characters who definitely need therapy, steam that'll fog up your e-reader, and plot twists that'll make you throw your Kindle (please don't actually throw it – those things are expensive). I write the kind of stories that live in the shadows, where consent is sexy but redemption isn't guaranteed, and happy endings come with a price.

To my readers: thank you for joining me on this wild journey. Your messages, theories, and occasional death threats when I leave you on a cliffhanger mean the world to me. (Though maybe ease up on the death threats? My dogs get worried.) I'm just getting started, and I've got so many more stories to tell.
