Hi there! I'm Stacey Joy Netzel, and I write romantic suspense that'll keep you up way past your bedtime. Trust me, I know—I've lost plenty of sleep writing these stories myself! (My coffee maker is basically my most loyal relationship at this point.)

I grew up in Wisconsin surrounded by books and horses, dreaming up stories while riding through wooded trails. Those quiet moments in nature planted the seeds for what would later become my Colorado Trust Series. Who knew all those hours spent in the saddle would end up being "research"? Though I have to admit, my characters face way more danger than I ever did on those peaceful trail rides!

My journey to becoming an author wasn't exactly a straight path (is it ever?). I worked as a veterinary technician for years, which might explain why animals always seem to sneak their way into my books. There's just something about the unconditional love of a good dog or horse that adds an extra layer of heart to any story. Plus, they're excellent judges of character—if my heroine's dog doesn't trust the mysterious stranger, you know there's trouble brewing!

The Colorado Trust Series combines everything I love—strong-willed women, alpha men who meet their match, pulse-pounding suspense, and the majestic Rocky Mountains as a backdrop. "Evidence of Trust" kicked things off with my headstrong wrangler Brittany and sexy ranger Joel butting heads (and eventually locking lips) while tracking down a dangerous poacher. "Trust by Design" brings a Cinderella twist to interior designer Gina's story, though Prince Charming comes with a few complications. And "Trust in the Lawe"? Well, let's just say Kendra has very good reasons to be running from the law with her little brother in tow.

I believe the best romances are the ones where love doesn't come easy. My characters have to earn their happily-ever-afters through trust, growth, and usually surviving a few death-defying situations. (What can I say? I like to keep things interesting!) You won't find any cardboard cutout characters here—my heroes and heroines are complex, flawed, and sometimes frustratingly stubborn. But that's what makes their journey to love so satisfying, right?

When I'm not putting my characters through the emotional wringer, you'll find me curled up with my own romantic suspense TBR pile, hanging out with my family, or dreaming up new ways to throw unsuspecting couples together in life-or-death situations. (My family has learned to be very careful about giving me ideas—anything can become plot inspiration!)
