Hey there beautiful dark souls! I'm Violet Jackson, and I write the kind of romance that probably shouldn't exist but absolutely needs to. You know, the stories that make your mom raise an eyebrow and your book club clutch their pearls. (Sorry not sorry, Karen.)

I never meant to write dark romance. Actually, I never meant to write at all. I spent years working as a librarian, quietly recommending steamy books to patrons while dreaming up twisted tales in my head. But those stories wouldn't leave me alone – especially not at 3 AM when I should've been sleeping. Instead, I was scribbling notes about golden-eyed monsters and morally gray heroes who definitely wouldn't be welcome at Sunday dinner.

My debut novel "These Twisted Fates" poured out of me during one particularly intense winter when I basically lived on coffee and spite. I had this character in my head – a woman who'd survived in a brutal world by becoming something both beautiful and terrible. The kind of heroine who doesn't need saving but might save herself by burning everything down. (Look, we've all been there, right?)

When I write, I dive deep into the shadows where romance meets psychological horror. I'm fascinated by the thin line between love and obsession, between protection and possession. My characters aren't good people – they're complex, damaged, and sometimes downright wicked. But they love with an intensity that could set the world on fire.

I write for readers who want their romance with a heavy dose of darkness. The ones who understand that sometimes the scariest monsters are the ones we invite into our beds. If you're looking for sweet, gentle love stories... well, you might want to look elsewhere. (Though I do have an adorably evil cat named Lucifer who insists I mention him here.)

Writing "These Twisted Fates" nearly broke me – in the best possible way. I poured every twisted fantasy, every dark desire, and every forbidden thought into those pages. The response from readers has been incredible, and slightly terrifying. Turns out I'm not the only one who wants to explore the darker side of love!

When I'm not writing, you can find me wandering through old bookstores, collecting vintage tarot cards, or binge-watching true crime documentaries for "research" (at least that's what I tell my therapist). I live in a creaky Victorian house that's probably haunted, but my ghost has excellent taste in music and hasn't complained about my 3 AM writing sessions yet.

What can you expect from my books? Raw emotion. Psychological intensity. Morally ambiguous characters who will haunt you long after you close the book. Steam that'll fog up your e-reader. And love stories that prove sometimes the most beautiful things grow in the darkest places.

I'm currently working on my next novel (fueled by unhealthy amounts of dark roast coffee and my readers' tears), which promises to be even darker and more twisted than the first. My characters have taken over my brain, and they're not particularly nice about sharing space up there.

To my readers: thank you for being just as wonderfully twisted as I am. Your messages about staying up all night to finish "These Twisted Fates," about falling in love with characters you should probably run from, about finding beauty in the darkness – they mean everything to me.

Fair warning: my books come with trigger warnings for a reason. I don't shy away from the darker aspects of human nature. But I promise you this: in my stories, love always wins. It might not be pretty, it might not be pure, but it will be powerful.
