Hi beautiful darkness seekers! I'm Zoe Blake, and I write the kind of romance that makes your mother clutch her pearls and your book club friends raise their eyebrows. You know, the GOOD stuff.

Let me tell you a secret - I never set out to write dark romance. I started as an avid reader who couldn't find exactly what I was craving. You know that feeling when you want something specific but can't quite put your finger on it? That was me, hunting through the romance section, wanting more edge, more darkness, more deliciously twisted heroes who definitely shouldn't be called heroes at all.

So I did what any slightly unhinged bookworm would do - I started writing it myself. (My therapist probably has thoughts about this, but we don't need to go there.)

My books? They're not for the faint of heart. I write unapologetically dark romance featuring morally bankrupt men who take what they want and the women strong enough to handle them. My latest series, starting with "Sins of the Son," dives into the dangerous world of the Cavalieri crime family. Think Succession meets The Godfather, but with way more steam and psychological warfare. Because nothing says true love like elaborate revenge plots and questionable consent, right?

(That was a joke. Kind of. Maybe. Don't @ me.)

In "Reckless Surrender," I explored what happens when lies and deception collide with obsession and power. Spoiler alert: nothing good. But also everything good, if you're into that sort of thing. And if you're reading this, I'm betting you are.

My writing style? Imagine if your darkest fantasies had a baby with your guilty pleasures, and that baby grew up to write romance novels. I don't do sweet and gentle (unless it's the calm before the storm). I write sharp edges, dangerous games, and the kind of tension that makes you forget to breathe. My characters are complex, often terrible people who somehow make you root for them anyway. It's a gift, really.

When I'm not crafting twisted love stories, I'm probably reading them, drinking too much coffee (is there such a thing?), or plotting world domination. Just kidding about that last one. Or am I?

What can you expect from my books? - Morally grey (okay, straight-up black) heroes - Heroines who give as good as they get - Steam that'll fog up your e-reader - Plot twists that'll make you gasp - Endings that are earned, not given - Trigger warnings (because I'm dark, not irresponsible)

Fair warning: if you're looking for sweet, conventional romance, you're in the wrong place. My books live in the shadows where consent is dubious, love is violent, and happy endings come with a price. But if you like your romance with a side of psychological warfare and a sprinkle of "I probably shouldn't be enjoying this as much as I am" - welcome home, beautiful darkness seeker.
